Introducing Custom Forms

Outlook custom forms are based on one of the standard Outlook forms (e-mails, tasks, and so on). You are already familiar with Outlook forms, even if you don't realize it. Every time you create a new e-mail, you are working with an e-mail form. Every other Outlook item you open such as a task, contact, appointment, or Journal entry is shown as an Outlook form.

Every Outlook form has a name that describes what the form is used for. For example, an e-mail form is named IPM.Note. The first part of a form name is IPM, which stands for InterPersonal Message.
