Using the Import and Export Wizard

The best way to understand the import/export process is to go through the wizard and see the options. The following example shows how to import a file with comma separated values into the My Family and Friends folder in Outlook.

Importing Data Into Outlook

To use the Import and Export Wizard to import data into Outlook, do the following:

1.
Open the Import and Export Wizard by selecting File, Import and Export. For this example, I'm choosing Import from another program or file from the available options, as shown in Figure 16.2. This is the default selection when you open the Import and Export Wizard.
