Customizing Views

You can customize a view in two main ways. The first way is to change some of the view settings, such as changing how items are arranged or grouped in the view. The second way is to perform a full customization of the view. Like everything else in Outlook, both types of customization can be accomplished in a number of ways.

The settings you can change in a view without fully customizing the view are as follows:

  • Showing and hiding the Reading Pane

  • Arranging items by different fields

  • Grouping items by different fields

  • Expanding and collapsing groups

  • Sorting items

  • AutoPreviewing items
