Working with Outlook's Default Folders
Outlook automatically creates a set of default folders for your default data file. This data file is either a PST file or an Exchange mailbox. Each of these default folders holds certain types of items and is used for a specific purpose. You can also create your own folders, which will be described in the section “Creating Folders and Subfolders,” later in this chapter. Table 10.1 shows the default folders and what they are used for. You can't delete, rename, or move Outlook's default folders.
Folder Name | Folder Use |
---|---|
Outlook Today | Special display folder |
Calendar | Appointments, meetings, and events |
Contacts | Contact items and distribution lists |
Deleted Items | Temporary storage for deleted ... |
