E-mailing Links to the Web

One common type of blocked attachment is a URL attachment to a Web page. An attachment of this type is created by selecting File, Send, Link by E-mail in Internet Explorer. Unless the URL file extension has been moved to Level 2, the attachment will be blocked completely, and even if the URL file extension has been moved to Level 2, you must save the URL attachment to the file system before you can open it.

Instead of sending a link using Link by E-mail in Internet Explorer, open a new e-mail message in Outlook and copy and paste the Web address you want to send directly in the text of the e-mail message.
