How Outlook Stores Data
If you are a home Outlook user, your default data file is a Personal Folders File (PST file). If you are using Outlook in a business setting, your default data file may be an Exchange mailbox located on a Microsoft's Exchange server computer. All Outlook data is stored in one of these types of data files; there are no separate files for e-mails, calendars, address books, or other Outlook data.
