Using the Remote Web Site View

After you've published your Web site, you can use the Remote Web Site view to perform a number of functions. You can upload new or modified pages to your Web site, using local-to-remote publishing. Using remote-to-local publishing, you can download Web pages from the Internet to your computer. Or, you can match local and remote files using synchronized publishing.

One really good feature of the Remote Web Site view is that it enables you to get a bird's-eye view of both your local Web site (on the left) and your remote Web site (on the right) at the same time, as shown in Figure 21.5. This lets you make side-by-side comparisons of the files residing on both Web sites.
