Importing Access Databases

Because FrontPage 2003 is one of the applications in the Office 2003 System, it's reasonable to start with the database product that is also part of that family of products. Microsoft Access 2003 is a popular small database package that stores a complete database in a single flat file with an .mdb extension. Many FrontPage users already have Access databases that they would like to place on a Web server so that content can be retrieved. FrontPage makes it a snap to import Access databases, and to build pages that use it.

To import a database, do the following:

1.
Create the database in Access.
2.
Choose File, Import to open the Import dialog box (see Figure 17.2).
