Creating Code Snippets to Reuse Code

When you work with HTML, you may quickly discover that there are some tags that you have to type again and again (for example, a tag to insert a hyperlink or image). You may also find yourself reusing JScript or JavaScript elements when you add scripting to your pages.

Using code snippets enables you to define the code (or fragments thereof) you type most frequently and store it for fast recall so you don't need to type it again and again. It's designed as a time and keystroke saver.

By default, certain snippets—including code for linking a style sheet and for adding meta descriptions and meta keywords—are already defined for you. To see them, open the Tools menu and choose Page Options to open the Page Options ...
