Frame-based Layout Components

Let's start by looking at one of the most commonly used frame templates, often referred to as the simple four-region frameset, as shown in Figure 10.1.

The main components of this structure are as follows:

• The frames page is the overall structure of a page containing frames.

• The banner frame is the frame that contains a banner for your site.

• The contents frame is the navigation area on the left side, which offers links (often labeled Home, About Us, Contact Us, and so on) to your site's content.
