Converting Vector Images to GIF or JPG

Two primary graphic file formats—GIF and JPG—are used with Web pages. FrontPage, however, can work with far more file formats, including at least one vector image format.

UNDERSTANDING VECTOR GRAPHICS

A vector image, often called a vector graphic, refers to a specific type of image created by using a series of lines. Vector images offer more flexibility (for selecting, resizing, moving, and so on) and operate using less memory than another type of images called bitmap images, which are created through the use of dot patterns. However, the types of images you're apt to use most frequently are neither vector not bitmap, but JPG and GIF.
