Pseudocode
Despite the power and ease of flowcharting, some companies prefer another method for logic description called pseudocode. Pseudocode, sometimes called structured English, is a method of writing logic using sentences of text instead of the diagrams necessary for flowcharting.
Flowcharts take a long time to draw and a lot of paper doing so. Even though you can buy flowcharting programs, they are often limited and do not offer the flexibility that a lot of programming logic needs.
