In this chapter, you created and ran your first Visual Basic program. Congratula-tions! Visual Basic does much of the bookkeeping work for you so that you can concentrate on your application's goals. Before you can be an effective Visual Basic programmer, you must understand the purpose for the windows that appear in Visual Basic. You now know that the Form window holds your application's elements and that the Form Layout window describes the location of your application's forms. You might not fully understand the purpose of these windows, but you're well on your way to mastering Visual Basic.
