Dump processing
Dumps can provide useful diagnosis data. But you need to check the dump-related options to be sure all information needed will be dumped.
Generally, the system automatically captures a dump when it detects a serious error with an operating system component (for example, JES, VTAM, etc.), a subsystem (for example, CICS, DB2, MQ, etc.), or application program.
