Introduction
The final recorded consultation between Rick Warren and Peter Drucker took place on May 27, 2004, following the unparalleled success of Rick Warrenâs book The Purpose Driven Life, and his course â40 Days of Purpose.â The course, as its title indicates, guides individuals and churches through the book in forty days. Hundreds of thousands of churches worldwide have used the program, and it helped start a number of new ministries, including very effective ministries within the California prison system and within Chinese factories. The success of the book and of the course created unexpected affluence and influence for Rick and Kay Warren.
