Introduction

Bob Buford met with Peter Drucker and tested his idea of making the transition from running Leadership Network to developing Halftime. He also tested with Drucker his ideas for helping gifted executives move from success to significance. Buford said, “It is an important transition that I am making, or considering, or testing. It involves working through others, or working at serving others, helping them to use their own gifts rather than being an individual performer.” Drucker then proceeded to create the context and the specifics involved in this transition.
