Application of Peter Drucker’s Methodology of Social Ecology

Introduction

Peter Drucker identified himself as a social ecologist, a person who attempts to spot major future trends in society that are discernible but not widely understood. For Drucker, this included identifying new institutions, understanding their function, understanding the disruptions they create for existing institutions, and thinking through how they could be made to function effectively and have a constructive impact on society. Formally his methodology has four steps:
