Diffusion of Innovation—Public Schools

Introduction

Tom Luce is a founding partner in the Dallas law firm Hughes and Luce, LLP. He reproduced the strategies of networking and of sharing best practices that he learned from Bob Buford at Leadership Network and applied these to primary and secondary schools in the United States. Before taking a position in the Department of Education in the Bush administration, Luce was actively engaged in promoting the transfer of best practices and launching his own social sector organization, Just for Kids. He consulted with Peter Drucker in 1994 before he began.
