As the stories in the previous chapters have illustrated, it can be difficult to figure out what to do when dealing with a particular employee, and there are several possible alternatives in any given situation. You have to take many factors into consideration, and an optimal solution isn’t always possible; rather, you have to pick the most reasonable alternative at the time.
