Implementation and Monitoring of the Citizens’ Social Charter

One of the most important activities undertaken by the non-governmental think tank, South Asia Centre for Policy Studies (SACEPS), was the preparation of Citizens’ Social Charter for five countries of the South Asian region and the formulation of a Citizens’ Regional Social Charter based on these national charters. Subsequently, an inter-governmental regional Social Charter, called the SAARC Social Charter, was also adopted by the member countries of SAARC.
