11.11. Conclusion

In this chapter, we have covered the graphics functionality that is available by using the classes defined in the System.Drawing namespace. We started with a discussion of the basic principles of the GDI, new features found in the GDI+, then moved on to a more detailed study of the System.Drawing namespace.

After the overview of the main classes in the System.Drawing namespace and its secondary namespaces, we saw various examples of how to generate graphics in Windows forms applications.

The second part of this chapter was dedicated to printing. We learned about the main classes that comprise the System.Drawing.Printing namespace and outlined the steps required to implement printing functionality in our applications.
