Scenic light is generically described as a system, instrument, or light beam whose main intent is not to provide visibility to performers faces. Instead, the primary goal of scenic light is to make the environment around the performer look appropriate for the moment or scene being presented within it. Scenic light is plotted in a variety of locations and may sometimes vie for equal room in hanging locations next to instruments providing performer light. Control patterns range from single-channel specials and color washes to hundreds of channels dedicated to nuanced tints in LED fixtures.
