Stage 2

Construction and Reaction: Preliminary Documents

This stage examines the multiple phases and steps required to create an approved preliminary lighting design. To complete this stage, preliminary drawings are used to construct a preliminary light plot and paperwork. That information is used to prepare and submit a shop order to lighting rental shops. The shops respond to this information and provide estimates for the requested goods and services. Depending on cost or other influences, the lighting designer may be asked to modify the preliminary light plot to conform to budgetary concerns.
