Construction Details

 

In Chapter 7 some specific construction techniques were mentioned that offer opportunities for greening production when creating stock elements.

Triscuits

The first was the use of Triscuit or stress-skinned platforming instead of traditional 1x or 2x framed units. The stress-skinned platform creates a strong building block for decks that is easily stored when it is appropriately constructed. The Triscuit panel was developed at Yale School of Drama and shared with the industry in Yale Tech Brief No.1249, written by Don Harvey, Yale Repertory Theatre, in April 1993.
