H.1 The Standards
The specifications are available on request from the ISMA web site. They comprise the following:
H.2 ISMA Version 2.0
The Internet Streaming Media Alliance has released the second generation of its specification. This integrates the latest streaming-media technologies. The version 2.0 specification improves on the existing ISMA version 1.0. It adds support for new codecs for mobile devices and high-definition TV (HDTV).
The new ISMA 2.0 specification supports the following features:
• Advanced Video Coding (H.264/AVC)
• High-Efficiency Advanced Audio Coding (HE-AAC)
