Don’t be a fool; insure your tool. It would be naïve to think a camera could shield you from harm. I should know; I’ve been wounded in combat twice. That’s why it’s important to have a good insurance plan before you leave home. Depending on which level of insurance you choose, coverage may include worldwide assistance, medical expenses, personal assistance, travel incidents, legal assistance, bail, non-professional acts liability, loss, theft or destruction of luggage, and accidental death or disability (Figure 2.24).
