To get you started I have listed a few monologues you might try. Undoubtedly there are many not here that you will discover on your own. They are from great plays by great playwrights and they continue to stand the test of time, and of course they still exist in print so you will be able to get a copy of the entire script to read. I have not characterized them as either leading/character/ingénu(e)/man/woman; I simply list them as plays with good speeches you can consider – I want you to read the plays and decide for yourself.
