A little learning theory

2.1 OVERVIEW

This chapter is devoted to the concept of learning and related teaching theories. To be a good teacher one needs to be familiar with some of the theoretical underpinnings behind sound instruction techniques and how they are related to learning. These theoretical concepts will help you better understand the learning process and provide concrete methods on how to best reach your students. Kupfermann succinctly links the important concepts of this chapter: learning, knowledge, and memory.
