ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Andrew (Andy) W. Nichols has more than 25 years of experience of management systems and auditing. His wide-ranging experience of management systems standards includes NATO “AQAP 1,” BS5750, ISO9001, QS-9000, ISO14001, ISO/TS 16949, and ISO/IEC 17025.
In 1985, Andy became the first internal Quality Systems Internal Auditor for a major metrology equipment manufacturer and, as its Supplier Quality Manager attended one of the very first Lead Auditor of quality management systems training courses. He then joined the first UK accredited management systems certification body (LRQA) as a Lead Auditor, quickly becoming a supervisor and trainer, responsible for mentoring new certification auditors.
