AWARENESS OF HOW YOU FEEL AND WHY

Our emotions are so central to any action we take that a lack of understanding how we feel is tantamount to deciding to build a bridge without any awareness of the materials that will be used. Our emotions are a central part of every action and every decision. They can’t be eliminated, but they can be ignored at the conscious level. An important opportunity for you, the coach, is to help your clients become accurately aware of their emotions. The word “accurately” is important and is closely connected with our clients’ emotional vocabulary as well as their willingness to honestly assess events.
