Foreword

Bill Cohen was the first graduate of the world’s first executive PhD program in management. That was in 1979 at the Peter F. Drucker and Masatoshi Ito Graduate School of Management at Claremont Graduate University. (Of course, it was just plain old Claremont Graduate School when Bill attended.) But he has never forgotten his alma mater or his professor and friend, Peter Drucker, a man who has meant so much to all of us. Bill has brought to life many of the lessons he learned from Drucker and made those insights accessible to those who weren’t privileged to know Peter personally or sit in any of his classes.
