A friend of mine is a comedian. He’s been making people around the world laugh for over thirty years. He’s very good and very funny. And he goes home after every gig, these days after long weeks of entertaining on large cruise ships, and when his wife asks him how it went he tells her the same thing—“I still didn’t get the knock.” “The knock?” I once asked. “Yeah, you know, the knock.
