DHCP
DHCP will be used to assign IP
addresses, nameserver information, and routes to clients on both the
wired and wireless networks. The DHCP server daemon comes installed
but turned off in a default OpenBSD installation. In order to turn on
dhcpd
, modify the dhcpd
line in /etc/rc.conf
to be the following:
dhcpd_flags="-q"
The q
flag keeps dhcpd
from
printing various copyright information at boot time. For a complete
discussion on the configuration of DHCP on a gateway server, see
Section 11.6.
