Path 4: Feedback

It may be the most unanswered question in organizations today: “How am I doing?” This can be interpreted as a lack of feedback on the effort individuals invest in their work and the results achieved. Everyone has an idea as to how they are doing (sometimes a bit self-exaggerated), but feedback from a key person, such as the individual’s immediate manager, gives the person a unique look at a different reality. It’s always important to hear it from the boss. After all, your manager has some control over your progress with the company, including your present and future compensation.
