Capitalizing and Building on Your Free Publicity
Andy Warhol, who received plenty of publicity during his life for both his art and his personality, once said, “In the future, everyone will be famous for 15 minutes.” Once you receive your first 15 minutes, you’ll probably want more, and like Warhol himself, you certainly do not have to remain content with that small portion. For a sustained, expanding media presence, commit yourself to a long-term effort and follow a few simple guidelines.
