Returning Phone Calls

I’m often asked: “Nancy, what do you think of people who don’t return phone calls?”

My answer is a quick and simple, “Not very much.”

Not returning a phone call or have it returned in your behalf? Few things can be labeled as “ruder.” (Worse?) Then I hear, “Yes, but Nancy, you just don’t know how many calls I get during the day. I just can’t return them all.”

We all get a lot of phone calls, myself included. And I may not be able to return each and every call myself; however, I do make sure they get returned on my behalf by someone in the office.
