CHALLENGE 38: INSUFFICIENT TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE

IT has evolved a lot in recent years, and one of the major trends to come out of this, is that people from all educational backgrounds have migrated to computers and related opportunities. People intending to change career paths, either for higher remuneration or better intellectual opportunities, join the bandwagon. The major roadblocks that this creates are that the person is not able to validate the estimates provided, they get left out on the technical discussions, and they are not able to provide any further value-add to the team, other than the basic book keeping. This, in turn, leads to a lack of respect amongst peers and subordinates.
