CHALLENGE 26: OVERESTIMATION OF PROJECTS

Projects are always about costs and ROIs, and one of the major spotlights falls on estimates, and the process around approval of estimates. Be it the initial one submitted during the proposal stage, or the one for the changes received during the project life cycle estimates, they are always scrutinised. It takes a lot of persuasion, and more than a valid justification, to walk into a client’s office with a request for a change in estimates. Most times it will be rejected, and you will be asked to deliver lower costs and faster, even though the estimates submitted by you are realistic.
