CHALLENGE 8: UNDEFINED PROJECT DEPENDENCIES

Typical project dependencies are deliverables from other projects and programmes that your project requires in order to reach completion. Often these get overlooked, which is why it is vital that you research these thoroughly, and then list them in a project dependency log. This ensures that there is no confusion going forward.

Project dependencies are two-fold, they can be inbound or outbound.

Inbound dependency

Inbound dependencies are those you expect other projects to deliver. For example, if there is an infrastructure project which is going to deliver the production environment for your project so that you can go live, then it is an inbound dependency.
