The Pioneer voice touches the red zone on the decibel level, not necessarily because of its volume but because of the force with which Pioneers communicate their opinions. They are powerful characters whose logic and rationality make them very hard to argue with. They enjoy the challenge of leadership and readily accept the responsibility that goes with it. The Pioneer is a future-oriented voice, with the ability to coordinate resources and people to turn big ideas into accomplishments. At their best, Pioneers galvanize and inspire teams to achieve incredible things, but at their worst they can divide people and destroy things.

What They Are Thinking

Pioneers are constantly thinking, and this is what makes them so valuable. Most of their thinking is focused on strategic problem solving and how they are going to achieve the biggest possible win!

For a foundational voice Pioneer, visioning the future is always the highest priority. They have immense self-belief and inherently believe that anything is possible. To challenge the competency of a Pioneer is the equivalent of waving a red flag in front of the proverbial bull. When someone tells a Pioneer that they can't do something, the reply is usually, “Who says we can't? Watch and I'll show you.” The Pioneer often thinks, “If we're going to do it, let's go big or go home.” The vision of a Pioneer is rarely ever anything short of true global domination, and the monologue about the next big idea sounds something ...
