Chapter 13. Biped Crowds

Bipeds can be made to follow delegate behavior. In order for this to work, the bipeds must be created in the scene with the delegates, and must have a motion flow network for random motion and shared motion flow.

The secret to success with bipeds and crowds is all in the motion flow network. When a delegate needs to move forward, stop, or turn, Character Studio will look for a suitable clip (BIP file) to transition to. As a rule of thumb, at least eight clips are needed to make a good biped crowd scene that will solve well.
