Making a Hand or Foot Follow Another Object

What if you want a biped’s hand to follow an object? For example, suppose you want the biped to wash a window. Rather than animating the hand directly, it would be much easier to animate the sponge and link the hand to the sponge. However, you can’t link the hand to the sponge because the hand is already linked to the arm—as it should be. To make a hand follow another object, you have to use a different method.
