Changing Footstep Timing

By editing the footstep keys in the Dope Sheet, you can change footstep timing.

Quicklist: Editing Footstep Keys

1.
Select any part of the biped.
2.
On the Motion panel, turn on Footstep mode.
3.
Open the Dope Sheet.
4.
Turn on Edit Keys.
5.
Expand the hierarchy under Bip01 Footsteps.
6.
Deactivate footsteps.
7.
Move or resize keys as necessary.
8.
Activate footsteps.

Before you edit footstep keys, it’s a good practice to first deactivate the footsteps and then reactivate them after you’ve made all the desired changes. You’ll see several benefits to this practice as we work through this chapter. To deactivate footsteps, you select them and then click Deactivate Footsteps in the Footstep Operations rollout.
