Linking and Hierarchies

Linking creates a relationship between two objects, allowing you to control one object by moving or rotating the other. The biped is automatically linked together when you create it.

A linear series of linked objects is called a chain. Two or more chains linked together are called a hierarchy. The higher object in a chain or hierarchy is called the parent object, and any object linked under it is a child object. A parent can also be the child of another object (linked under it), and a child object can be the parent of another object.

When you view the biped hierarchy, you can see that there is one object that is only a parent, and not a child to any other object. This object is called the root of the hierarchy. Every hierarchy ...
