8. 123D Design Exercises for Mac and PC

Similar to Chapter 6, “123D Design Exercises for iPad,” this chapter focuses on a few simple exercises in 123D Design (desktop), but for the Mac and PC. The exercises use some of the tools that were explained in Chapter 7, “Workspace Basics of 123D Design for Mac and PC.”

In this chapter, we walk through the steps for creating two basic objects using the tools we covered in Chapter 7. In the first exercise, we create a basic coffee mug; then we’ll create a business card holder.

After launching 123D Design, sign in to your AutoDesk account and create a new project (see Figure 8.1).
