How YOU Can Learn to Program

Everybody is different. Everybody learns differently.

Because of that, there are at least three different ways that you can learn from this book:

  1. Play with cool stuff, then read an occasional chapter on fundamentals.
  2. Learn the basics, then make some cool stuff with what you know.
  3. Just type the code (like I did when I was a kid).

You choose which works best for you!

If you want to play first (the first option), start with Chapter 1 and then go in order through the rest of the book. You’ll mostly work on games and simulations in project chapters—chapters whose titles start with the word “Project”—followed by occasional chapters on fundamental skills.
