Summary

Wow, what a ride! In this chapter we explored different UV unwrapping techniques and applied them to the different portions of the Artifact. We then joined all of the different pieces of our game asset together and created one unified UV map. With our UV map in hand, we imported the Artifact into Substance Painter, a texturing program that utilizes Physically Based Rendering techniques to create realistic material solutions. Within this sophisticated program, we painted new detail directly onto the Artifact pieces and splashed an amazing coat of paint on them to enhance the Artifact's sinister look.
