Kesang Tashi, known as Tashi, was the first Tibetan to attend Dartmouth College. That's just one astonishing fact about this amazing man. He's traveled a long road from Tibet to India to Hanover, New Hampshire. When he about 10, he and his family escaped from political oppression in Tibet and fled to India. His mother ended up working at a school run by the Dalai Lama.

Tashi graduated from Dartmouth and headed to New York City to begin a career in banking. He was working in New York City for financial mogul Edward Safra, but after a few years, Tashi realized he had no passion for banking.
