Linking a SharePoint Calendar to Outlook
A SharePoint calendar is a type of list; you can view it in traditional calendar view or as a list of entries. For each calendar entry you can record information such as the name, place, start date and time, and end date and time.
If your organization maintains team calendars on a SharePoint site to track project milestones, vacations and holidays, or other events of interest, you might find it convenient to view the calendar in Outlook rather than on the site. By linking a SharePoint calendar to Outlook, you have access to it whether you are online or offline.
