Custom Slide Layouts

PowerPoint 2007 offers five built-in standard layouts—formats that contain placeholders for text, graphics, charts, and so on. A layout is essentially a slide master that PowerPoint 2007 has created for you; all you have to do is choose one you like and begin typing your information. However, these five standard layouts don’t always meet the requirements for every presentation. In those cases, you’ll want to create a custom layout. This was possible in earlier versions of PowerPoint, but PowerPoint 2007 offers a slightly different process.
